Shepherd wounded by mine explosion in Azerbaijan

Shukyur Tagiev, a resident of the Dashkesan District of Azerbaijan, was wounded by a mine explosion while grazing sheep and was hospitalized in grave condition.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the Karabakh conflict zone, local residents are systematically got wounded and killed by mine explosions. Thus, on July 21, two employees of a construction company, which is working on the territory of the Khodjaly District that came under Azerbaijan's control, got blown up by anti-personnel mine.

Shukyur Tagiev, a shepherd from the Dashkesan District, was wounded by a mine explosion in the village of Alakhanchally near the Armenian border. He was hospitalized in grave condition, the "haqqin.az" reports.

Shukyur Tagiev was born in 1964; on August 29, he was herding sheep when his horse crossed the border. While trying to return the horse, Tagiev got blown up by a mine, the "Sputnik Azerbaijan" reports.

As of July 27, after the autumn war of 2020, 30 people died and other 125 were wounded by mine explosions in the Karabakh conflict zone, the Azerbaijani Prosecutor's Office has informed.
