Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine voices explanations after photo with Kadyrov

The chairman of the Ukrainian government requested an explanation from his deputy Oleg Urusky concerning a photo in which the latter was captured standing next to the leader of Chechnya at the arms and defence technology sales exhibition in Abu Dhabi. The Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister said that he did not choose a position next to Ramzan Kadyrov.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal posted on Facebook a photo in which his deputy was appearing next to Ramzan Kadyrov at the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) in the UAE. In the picture, Ramzan Kadyrov and Oleg Urusky do not communicate, but walk side by side, surrounded by many other people.

Oleg Urusky explained that he participated in the opening of the exhibition as the leader of the Ukrainian government's delegation. The Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister noted he "had no contacts with the leader of the Russian delegation."

Ramzan Kadyrov said that it was "a situation of much ado about nothing." "Until yesterday, I had no idea who Oleg Urusky was. If I had known, I would not let him standing next to me. I consider it unacceptable to approach and, all the more, shake hands with such people," the leader of Chechnya wrote on his Telegram channel.

Let us remind you that in 2014, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy apologized for a video, containing footage of Ramzan Kadyrov crying. In the summer of 2020, the leader of Chechnya demanded from the Ukrainian politician to confirm the apologies.
