Residents of Azerbaijan's frontline areas complain about shelling after ceasefire

As a result of shelling on Saturday, there are destructions in the frontline dwelling settlements of Azerbaijan, local residents assert. Despite the decrease in shelling intensity, they don't trust the truce strength.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed on a ceasefire from September 10. Immediately after, the parties exchanged accusations of ceasefire violations: Azerbaijan stated that Armenian militaries tried to attack in Agdere-Terter and Fizuli-Djabrail directions, while the Armenian party accused Azerbaijan of shelling Gadrut and attacking the southern section of the frontline.

On Saturday morning, the city of Terter and the villages of Bakharly in the Agdam District and Alkhanly in the Fizuli District were shelled, local residents reported.

Samaya Alieva, a resident of Terter, temporarily residing in Barda, is not going to return home yet. "My son is in Terter; he sent us here with his children and daughter-in-law, but he himself decided to stay there. Our house is damaged; there are no living conditions for children there. We don't know how strong the ceasefire will be," the woman said.

It should be noted here that despite the ceasefire, Stepanakert townspeople are afraid to leave bomb shelters for long. They demanded from the authorities a permanent truce in the conflict zone.
