Albert Batchaev allowed visiting doctors

Investigators have allowed Albert Batchaev, a Jehovah's Witness, to visit the polyclinic, which he could not do due to the restrictions associated with his house arrest.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Batchaev was detained in December 2019 in Cherkessk. Investigators found that he had organized the activities of a religious community banned by the court. On February 6, 2020, the court softened his freedom restraint and placed him under house arrest, which on July 30 was extended until October 11, 2020.

On April 20, 2017, the Supreme Court of Russia, reacting to the lawsuit lodged by the Ministry of Justice, banned religious communities of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia as extremist ones.

The court refused to ease the conditions of house arrest and would not allow Albert to visit the polyclinic, his wife, Zhanna Batchaeva, has explained. According to her story, her husband's health condition has improved.
