In Yakutia, Ingush community promises to investigate incident at wedding party

The police launched a check after a woman had been beaten at a wedding party in Yakutia. The leader of the Ingush community promised to reprimand his fellow countryman involved in the incident and called it excessive to involve the republic's authorities to solve the problem.

Innokenty Makarov, a well-known Yakut athlete, the leader of the NGO "US Tumsuu", called on Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov, the leader of Ingushetia, to "find and punish" a native of Ingushetia, who, according to the athlete, beat a woman at a wedding party.

Natalia Koryakina, an Instagram blogger from Yakutia, claimed being beaten. She accused Magomed D., a member of the local Ingush community, of beating her and complained of pain.

According to the blogger, a fight involved people unknown to her. In her interview to the "SakhaDay" website, Natalia Koryakina claimed that a man named Magomed was in an inadequate state during the wedding party, expressed his aggression for no reason, and fled.

Magomed did not drink any alcoholic beverages and did not beat Natalia Koryakina, says Maria, a sister of a young man, at whose wedding party the incident took place. According to the bridegroom's sister, the conflict arose between a Natalia Koryakina's boyfriend and Magomed, and the blogger was simply pushed away, not beaten. Meanwhile, Maria noted that during the wedding party, Natalia Koryakina was in a state of alcoholic intoxication and behaved "very defiantly."

"The incident was caused by alcoholic drinks and a woman ... In any case, beating a woman is a bad act," said Magomed Gagiev, the leader of the Ingush community in Yakutia.

He has also emphasized that earlier, Ingush natives had never been involved in any scandals or incidents in Yakutia.
