Political analysts: Kadyrov addresses his statement about US Secretary of State to President Putin

A statement voiced by Ramzan Kadyrov about the alleged involvement of the US Secretary of State to the killing of George Floyd should be regarded as a provocation, while the leader of Chechnya increases his popularity and expresses his loyalty to Vladimir Putin. This opinion was expressed by Caucasian experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 20, the US State Department announced that sanctions were imposed against Ramzan Kadyrov in connection with human rights violations in Chechnya. The sanctions have also affected Kadyrov's wife Medni and his two daughters, Aishat and Khadizhat.

Ramzan Kadyrov voiced a version about the involvement of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in organization of the George Floyd's killing in order to harm Donald Trump before the presidential election. On July 23, in its night news, the "Grozny" TV Channel broadcasted a story with the speech delivered by the leader of Chechnya during a meeting with the government of the republic.

"If someone commits a crime in our republic, what have I got to do with it? When a man was killed in the US because of his skin colour, we don't tell the US Department of State, [US Secretary of State Mike] Pompeo, that [he] is to blame for that [he] organized it against Donald Trump. Although we have got the information from the Ukrainian secret services that there is 100 percent probability that [the killing] was ordered by Mike Pompeo to ensure Donald Trump would lose the presidential election," Ramzan Kadyrov said.

The purpose of the Ramzan Kadyrov's speech is to draw attention to himself, says Chechen political analyst Isa Magomadov. The expert suggests that the speech of the Chechen leader was addressed to Vladimir Putin. "The main beneficiary of the Ramzan Kadyrov's jokes stays in the Kremlin. Ramzan Kadyrov once again makes it clear: 'I am your loyal infantryman, and I don't care about the United States'," the political analyst believes.

According to Isa Magomadov, another point of view on the speech voiced by Ramzan Kadyrov is to treat it as an act of deliberate trolling. "Ramzan Kadyrov seems to be responding with nonsense to what he believes is nonsense and with trash – to what he believes is trash," Isa Magomadov said.
