Meeting of anti-fascists in the Bolotnaya Square is over

The meeting of anti-fascists held in the Bolotnaya Square in Moscow is over. The action "For Russia without Fascism" lasted for about an hour and passed without incidents. Now, its participants are making their way home, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

The meeting in the Bolotnaya Square has gathered much less people that the action of national patriots in the Devichya Square. Besides, several tens of national patriots rallied opposite the Bolotnaya Square and started to shout out the slogan "Praise to Russia," but seeing the approaching servicemen, the group got scattered.

In St. Petersburg, however, the Day of National Unity was not so peaceful. In the crossing of the Liteiny and Nevskiy Avenues, a fight burst out between anti-fascists and nationalists. Militiamen had to use tear gas to disperse the mob, the "Interfax" reports. The employees of law enforcement bodies have detained about 100-150 participants of the "Russian March," the "Gazeta.Ru" reports. Evgeniy Asmolov, photographer of the "Interpress" Agency, was among the detainees. Later, he was released from militia, the "Fontanka.Ru" reports. According to Alexander Nikolaev, director of the Agency, there is a suspicion, that during detention his head was wounded with a militia truncheon. Besides, according to Asmolov, at the militia station he was forced to sign a protocol evidencing that he had cried out anti-governor slogans.
