Alksnis: no "Russian March" in metro

Moscow authorities gave a permit to the Party "Narodnaya Volya" (People's Will) and Movement Against Illegal Immigration (MAII) to hold a meeting on November 4 in the place in Moscow known as Devichye Pole. Victor Alksnis, representative of the "Narodnaya Volya" fraction, told about this at a press conference held at the State Duma. He marked that despite the statement of the fact that Russia is now experiencing political stability, tensions exist in the context of holding the "Russian March" in Moscow, the KMNews reports.

Mr. Alksnis read out an address of the Public Board for holding the "Russian March," which appealed to citizens to refrain from taking part in political action in Moscow's metro, but to arrive tomorrow at midday to the metro station "Park Kultury," from where the participants of the sanctioned meeting will march in an organized manner to the venue of the event.

Alksnis also told about the problems with notification of supporters of the "Russian March" about the new rally place, since the MAII web-sites have been blocked, and the federal TV channels were muting the event. "Please, inform the people: there'll be no political actions in the metro," Alksnis said.

The text of the address also ran that because of impossibility to notify the participants of the March about the new route, deputies-members of the Public Board would arrive at 10 a.m. to the metro station "Komsomolskaya-Circular" with the aim to redirect the "Russian March" participants towards the place of the sanctioned meeting.

Earlier, the "Russian March" was banned by the authorities of many cities, including Moscow.

Meanwhile, the Adygea public organizations "Adyge Hase" and "Circassian Congress" also addressed the authorities demanding not to admit the "Russian March" into the streets of Maikop. And should the manifestation be permitted and possible provocations from the marchers take place, the authorities should take responsibility for potential disorders.
