Nikol Pashinyan announces mourning on Charles Aznavour's funeral day

In Yerevan, a lot of people gathered in Charles Aznavour Square to pay tribute to the memory of the world-famous French chanson singer of Armenian origin. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan decided to declare mourning on the day of the Charles Aznavour's funeral.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 1, Charles Aznavour died in his 95th year of life. In social networks, Armenian residents and immigrants from the country write about the irreparable loss.

On October 1, residents of Yerevan organized a candlelight action in memory of the world-famous French chanson singer. People listen to songs of Charles Aznavour in the square.

Jonathan Lakot, French Ambassador to Armenia, came to the square. He stated that "the death of Charles Aznavour was a loss for both the Armenian and French people."

"It's hard to believe that the man who created a whole epoch died. He created history and love. He fully served his people and his countries, since Charles Aznavour said that he was one hundred percent Armenian and one hundred percent French man," Nikol Pashinyan said.

According to the Armenian Prime Minister, this is a mournful day for the country, "since the national hero of Armenia died."

In social networks, many users changed their profile photos and posted photos of Charles Aznavour.
