Builder of "Volgograd Arena" recovers his salary debt through the court

The Tsentralny District Court of Volgograd has granted the prosecutor's to collect in favour of a builder of the "Volgograd Arena" Stadium his salary debt for 4.5 months and compensation of moral harm in the amount of more than 229,000 roubles.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that builders of the "Volgograd Arena" Stadium sued their employer for salary debts. Officials of the former employer ignore the trial. Starting August 19, the workers-winners of the litigation are holding solo pickets in Volgograd, where they state problems with receiving their salary debts.

The "Volgograd Arena" Stadium was built for the FIFA World Cup-2018 held in Russia, which ended on July 15. About 2000 builders were employed in the construction site.

On August 28, the Tsentralny District Court of Volgograd held a session on the lawsuit lodged by engineer Andrei Manakhov on the collection of his unpaid salary.

The State Labour Inspectorate for the Volgograd Region has received about 60 applications about the non-payment of salaries by the company-contractor of building the "Volgograd Arena" Stadium.
