Former head of Dagestani Diaspora in Minvody detained

Magomed Rashidov, a former head of the regional ethnic and cultural autonomy of Dagestani nations in the city of Mineralnye Vody (Minvody), was detained in Moscow on suspicion of involvement in organized crime and links with Sagid Murtazaliev.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Sagid Murtazaliev, a former head of the Pension Fund of Russia for Dagestan, is on the wanted list under the charge of financing terrorism.

On August 17, a video record of Rashidov's detention was posted by the RIA "Derbent". The record shows Rashidov sitting in a car next to a law enforcer in mask and pronounces his name at the agent's request. Judging by the video, at least three other men were detained together with Rashidov.

The group of Moscow detainees comprises natives of Dagestan; they are suspected of creating a criminal grouping, the "Chernovik" weekly noted.

Those detained with Magomed Rashidov, were released from the police station after a check, while he remained in custody, the Telegram-channel "Mash" reported.

According to the source, law enforcers arranged an ambush to detain Rashidov, who is considered to be involved in organized crime and to be the "right hand" of Sagid Murtazaliev.
