Another local resident abducted in Chechnya

A group of unidentified armed people abducted Suleiman Kurbanov, 40, a local resident, in Prigorodnoye, Grozny district, at about 11.00 pm on 8 August. A relative of the abducted man says Suleiman had just returned home from prison. "Suleiman was convicted several years ago and served his time in Bashkortostan. He came back just a few days ago. Last night, several people in camouflage uniforms broke into his house, beat him cruelly and brought him away. Eyewitnesses say they were driving two Zhiguli cars: a 99th and a 112th model. We cannot even imagine who took him and for what purpose," a close relative of Kurbanov says.
