Attack on police officer in Grozny

A riot police officer of Chechnya's Internal Affairs Ministry was wounded in Grozny in the evening on 17 June, a source with republican law enforcement agencies told Caucasian Knot.

"An unknown attacker fired his handgun at the police officer yesterday evening in Grozny's Zavodskoi district. The officer received several wounds. Besides, a close relative of his who happened to be at the scene was wounded, too," the source said.
