Clean-ups in Chechnya's Achkhoy-Martan, Sunzha districts

Local and federal law enforcement and security agencies have been conducting "clean-up operations" in a number of villages in Chechnya's Achkhoy-Martan and Sunzha districts since 2 March. Locals say they have already detained and brought away 20 people, without indicating the destination. The whereabouts and further destiny of the abducted are yet unknown, according to the Council of Non-Governmental Organisations.
