Avtury resident detained, declared missing

Armed people in camouflage uniform arbitrarily detained a 19-year-old youth living in a house on Pervomayskaya Street in the Chechen town of Shali on June 5. According to locals, the young man was held on the Russian Defense Ministry's base in the village of Avtury on June 6. But he has reportedly been taken away from there later in an unknown direction. Representatives of official structures deny the very fact of the detention now.
