Soldiers opened fire on car with police officers in Chechnya

An incident occurred in Chechnya on Thursday morning.

An APC with servicemen rammed a Volga car on the Rostov-Baku federal route in the village of Gikhi.

A column of federal forces - four army vehicles - was moving from Grozny in the direction of Ingushetia.

The soldiers also opened fire on a Zhiguli car. Chechen police officers were coming back from a wedding in it. There are bullet traces on the car.

Four people were killed as a result of the tragedy: three officers of the Chechen police and a local woman, as it has become known to the correspondents. The reason why the servicemen started firing remains unknown so far.

Chechen police came to the site of occurrence. They detained the column.
