Special operation underway in Dagestan

In Dagestan, power agents are pursuing the militants who had shelled the house of a police officer. This was stated by Nikolai Sintsov, the official spokesman of the Russian National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC).

According to the NAC, the special operation is conducted in the Sergokalin and Karabudakhkent Districts of the Republic of Dagestan, the "Interfax" reports.

"While carrying out operative-search actions, power agents clashed with militants.

Two policemen and one soldier were injured. The law enforcers opened a response fire and are now searching the militants," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the spokesman from the local MIA.

The Dagestani MIA has officially refuted the information about the deaths of policemen and soldiers in the course of the armed clash.
