Nationalists rally in Moscow against release of Rasul Mirzaev

On August 25 the Moscow police suppressed an attempt of nationalist-minded young people to organize an unauthorized march to the building of the Zamoskovoretskiy Court, which considers the case of Rasul Mirzaev, the world champion in mixed martial arts, accused of involvement in the death of student Ivan Agafonov.

Nationalists planned to gather near the metro station "Novokuznetskaya" and march from there a few hundred meters to the building of the Zamoskovoretskiy Court.

However, when a crowd of several dozen people just tried to move from "Novokuznetskaya", shouting "Russians, forward!" and "One for all and all for one!", the police detained the leader of the procession Dmitry Feoktistov from the "Russian Civil Union" and several other protesters, the BBC reports.

Later, from 150 to 200 persons blocked the traffic in Ozerkovskaya Embankment by coming out into the carriageway. They threw paving tiles at policemen and parked cars. Along with the protesters, a woman-journalist from REN-TV was detained, the "Interfax" reports.
