A serviceman suspected of murder of his brother-soldier detained in Chechnya

A serviceman suspected of murder of his collegue, a soldier of federal forces, was detained in the mountainous district of Itum-Kale in the South of Chechnya.

It should be mentioned that on October, 22, a murdered contract serviceman of a unit of Inner Troops of Ministry of Interior Affairs was found in Itum-Kale district.

"The soldier of Inner Troops was detained on October, 24, in Itum-Kale district where he was serving. He is suspected of having committed a murder of his brother-soldier which took place on October, 22", a source in law enforcement bodies of Chechnya told a reporter of "Caucasian Knot".

The militiaman said the corpse of the contract serviceman of an Inner Troops unit stationed in the neighbourhood of the settlement of Itum-Kale had been found in the suburbs of the district center. "The soldier was killed by several knife stabs. The detained for accusation of this murder is a soldier of the same unit", our interlocutor said.

The investigation is regarding several versions of the event. According to one of them, the murder of the soldier had been committed as a result of non-statutory interrelations.
