Investigation does not rule out the possibility of an attempt of murder of Imam of Ingushetia for criticizing gunmen

Law enforcement organs of Ingushetia reported that Khamzat Chumakov, Imam of Nasir-Kort mosque, has been most probably attempted at for his speeches against representatives of armed underground.

It should be reminded that Khamzat Chumakov got wounded at 8.40 this morning as a result of an explosion of a self-made bomb under his car in Nazran, in the district of Ekhazhevsky round.

ITAR-TASS reports that according to their source, "the investigation is examining different versions of this crime the most probable of which is hampering professional activities" for many times had Imam in his sermons for the young "openly and firmly criticized participants of criminal underground which have been terrorizing the republic's population all these years".

The priest is currently staying in the Republic clinic hospital and the physicians estimate his state as an extremely grave one. They told us in the hospital that "Imam's leg had been taken off and the doctors are struggling for his life".
